Image - Capgras delusion is identical-looking imposter
(Roses for illustration)

Her daughter said that she thought her husband who sit next her was somebody else pretending her husband. He look like her husband but he does not her husband. Every day and every night she looks for him and for him desperately.

Her thought about her husband is a delusion. The man sit next was her husband. This delusion is called Capgras delusion or imposter delusion.

The phenomena was described by Jean-Marie Joseph Cargas and his intern Jean Reboul-Lachaux (1923) from the case of 53 year-old woman who believed about the tragedies in her life.

Her first child was abducted and replaced by another baby, and tragically died. The the twin girls were born, one grown and another was abducted, the same case with the first baby, replaced with another baby and died. Then, the twin boys were born, the same case happen for both boy, abducted and finally died.

She also believed that her husband also replaced by another person, Then, she saw the police and all her neighbors were abducted and replaced identical-looking imposter.

Those just her delusion. Four of her children died when they were infant. None abducted and imposter.

The Canning Pear Tree with Fruits in Neighborhood - Nature 137

Few of our neighbors have canning pear trees in their front yards. We saw plenty of fruit hanging from the trees this morning.

Image 01 - The Pear tree with fruit in neighborhood.

Yes, we as neighbors or anyone else may pick this fruit "as many as we want" for free or with no cost.

Some people like to eat pears raw just as you would consume an apple. They are very good.

In addition to eat raw, we love to make:
- jam
- pie
- and preserves

The Injured Turtle in the Flower Bed - Nature 134

We found the injured turtle in our flower bed few days ago. Poor turtle. That one may be too badly injured but it shouldn't suffer.

Obviously, the turtle can still crawl, and the turtle still pokes his out of his shell, so still alive.

It is a small turtle. You might wonder why the critter in flower's bed, it is because the critter eats:
- flowers
- vegetables
- and fruit.

First, we contacted Fish and Wildlife department, but no respond.

Then we called LSU small animal hospital and an exotic pet vet, unfortunately we have not heard back from them.

Finally, an animal rescue and rehab gave some recommendations:
1) 90% of the time the best thing to do is let an animal heal on its own.
2) Protect from ants and house-flies.
3) Provide water and food and shade.

Happy mother day

Today, May 12, 2024, we are celebrating Mother Day in the USA. The celebration for mothers and motherhood.

Image 01 - Happy mother day

Just in case you are not aware, forget or don't know that mother day was initiated by Anna Jarvis (an activist) in 1908.

Then, Anna Jarvis worked and campaigned tirelessly to establish Mother Day as a national holiday.

After 6 years, her efforts bore fruit in 1914 when it officially gained recognition in the United States.

Mother’s Day serves as an opportunity to express gratitude and honor both mothers and maternal figures.

People often give something to their mothers, few examples are:

gifts
- cards,
- candy
- or prepare meals for their loves.
