You may read previous posting of female mosquitoes:
However, male mosquitoes have shorter lifespans than female mosquitoes, just about 7 days.
Male mosquitoes live solely to mate with females and die shortly after. Once they have fulfilled their mating role, they are no longer essential for the species continuation. The biological purposes have been reached.

In recent years I have not had much trouble with mosquitoes here but more of those moth flies and they come in through the ventilation grilles they made here with a renovation in window. The larvae make holes in my clothes. Grr. We also have bats here and they eat a lot from the air in dark evening. Glad they made these cabinets on wall outside. Wish you lovely weekend.

Querida amiga, acá entramos recién en primavera y todavía no se ven mucho pero en el verano aparecen como nubes de mosquito, el clima es propicio para ellos, todo el día con repelente, el año pasado tuvimos varios casos de Dengue.

I didn’t know male mosquitoes only live about 7 days, while females can last up to 5 months. It’s crazy how nature works, with males living just to mate and then they're done. Interesting stuff!
